Might as well start a thread on this one the same I did on the last 2 releases lol.

Yall and talk about your questions and thoughts/ problems here.

Been playing the game all day in full DX 11 maxed in all settings and just loving it. Had one odd crash but I just restarted the game and all is well again.

I had to bump my GPU fans to 75% due to this game heats the hell out of my 5870,s and I think its what caused the crash.

All and all the game just rocks on ATI 5k series. Looks to be well thought out and is a mix of the first 2 with all new maps.

AI looks to be spot on 1 to 10 I give the game a 9.

Fraps shows I am pulling around 75 to 150 FPS and I see a few dips to around the 35 to 40 FPS when lots of sun rays are showing.

I completed the English version on Saturday. It was easy compared to the Russian version. Anyway, the game didn't crash at all (either version) and it works superbly in DX11 maxed out at 1680*1050.

On my second time threw the game , this time difficulty maxed out.

Taking more time to find all the tools for upgrades.

Level 1 tools are in factory and saw mill. Still working on level 2.

Just started this one today. I totally like the Stalker games so far. Actually have been playing the other 2 of them the past month or so and got Call of Pripyat today.

The game play is the same in a way, but the plot has got me thinking, this is sure different then the other 2. Maybe just cause its new to me. I am only at the crashed helicopter on the plateau and I am already lost....lol

Well I have to say this game has been good so far. I have been playing it off and on and have finally made it to Pripyat. I am sure the best challenges of this game are yet to come. I totally like this Stalker series of games. After I finish this one I will probably play all 3 again.

If you like stalker then I highly suggest you try Metro 2033.

Very similar to stalker.

But like stalker CoP metro 2033 is best played in DX 11.

It may play better with dx11, but there is no mention of dx11 anywhere on the box or the manual. The box says it is enhanced for dx9 and multicore cpu. There is mention of dx10 in the manual but nothing about 11. Maybe my collector's edition of the game has something to do with it. That won't justify me moving to a dx11 video card yet.

I guess you cant miss what you never had. Now that I have seen dx 11 I would miss the hell out of it.

Point to DX 11 isn't to make it play better. It just looks better, superior to DX 10 in every way.

mention of it or not is irrelevant, it exists.

I guess I will have to miss it for now.
I just finished completing the game. I have lots of save points and will backtrack on them so I can try and complete some of the side missions I did not get on the 1st time through. Overall I really like this one. I am sure I will be playing the Stalker series for quite a while longer. Hopefully they get another one in the works in the future.

You should replay them in the 2-1-3 (CS then SoC then CoP) order since that's the correct timeline in the game.

That is how I planned it for the next time playing them.
