I decided to reinstall COD World at War today and unfortunately im experiencing performance problems on some of the larger maps. I used to get solid 60 fps with this game no matter what, now on Seelow for example I was getting 30 - 45 sometimes dropping as low as 25. After a quick session I checked my CPU usage and for some reason its not even hitting 50%:

Any idea what the problem could be? Game is patched to latest version and graphics card drivers are up to date.

If I had to ponder a guess , I would say drivers.

Up to date isn't always the best with older games.

Never mind, I worked out what the problem was. I have been forcing 8xaa and aaa in Catalyst drivers for a while now and completely forgot i'd done it, for some reason World at War doesnt like this (yet strangely Modern Warfare 2 plays fine, although tbf the maps on that game arent really as big as some of the ones on World at War). I turned them both off and hey presto, solid 60 fps again
