so me and LVS were talking and we want to start an AMD clan, since most of us are gamers, and pretty [content edited] good ones too. Who would be up for Clan [AMD]? it could possibly even go as far as being sponsored! woo hoo, imagine that our very own opteron servers to play on. This could be for most FPS game like HALO, Half life 2, Doom 3, UT 2004, BattleField, CS(maybe), Call of Duty, and FC(maybe). Any ideas responses, throw em out!

Yeah, since I was talking about it, I am in. Since I own Halo(finally), and HL2, I got this coupon sitting here, and doom 3...yeah, gonna get that. But, I will be in the Clan. I was once in a large clan, and i didnt like it, now this was 7+ years ago, maybe 8+, but anyways, it was dum cause you have to go to meetings? and it was based on a merit system.....

well all im saying is that we put each other on icq, or messanger, and just have a loose knit gaming clan, kinda like gaming buddies. There shouldnt be much commitment, because then i doubt very many people would join, one namely me

Yeah...nothing special...none of this meetings crap, I was in a clan about 2 years ago, in CS, and thats the reason I quit(probably the reason I dont care for CS as well)....the meetings, and the obligations...dumb. This is just a little title change, and an alliance with some of the members here, and all across the gaming community.

I'd join a CS portion of that if it ever exists. Although I don't like conventional maps.. but i'd play.

Yes it would be a pretty good idea, we could exchange maps, and stuff via the chat program, and talk outside of the game.

We could even run our own servers !!!

Yeah, my buddy, new to AMD, but conviced after owning a P4 and a Athlon XP, that AMD is better, hosts his own server...its up about 75% of the day. I will see If I cant get him to donate some PC2700 Ram to my Folding/Gaming server, and get that to work as a dedicated AMD Forums server. He has Halo on it. Any other votes as to what it should be? He is partial to Halo...as am I, so, the majority rules here.

battlefield is old, we should get Desert Combat up on it, i like the idea of UT2K4, Halo isnt such a great idea, cause it doesnt always run well over the internet, plus playing it over the lan here at school gets kinda old.

CS is a good idea, but i cant play cause my key wont work anymore....

Half life 2 would be a good one, doom 3 sounds good too.

Anyone heard of joint op's? that would be a fun one too.

add any suggestions anyone, your ideas might just be what everyone else hasnt thought of yet.....
