I built a computer, Amtec case,450w,MSI K8Tneo motherboard, 1GB PC400 ram, NVidia FX5200 Video with 256mb ram, 200GB SATA Western digital HD,all the latest drivers, Windows XP SP2. I installed Delta Fource Black Hawk Down. This is all that is on the computer. I can play single player without any problems, when I go to Multi player, it boots me out after 40sec. every time. Always 40 sec. I changed the motherboard out to a Asus K8V SE Delux, changed the video to a ATI Radion with 128mb, and changed the ram to Kingston 512 PC2700. Re-installed Windows XP, SP2 and all the lates drivers, still 40sec and I'm booted out of the game. I went into the BIOS and slowed the CPU down to 1000mhz, slowed the ram, still no luck. Tech support from Novalogic said they have never heard of this problem and don't know how to fix it. Any ideas out there?????????

This is a strange one. So can you go ahead and list your full system specs now as they can help us. Also if you know the rails on your Power supply please post them, or if you know brand.

Do you have a firewall or av running at all?

I would suspect a problem with punkbuster or a patch problem for the game itself... if the game is supported by punkbuster, try to go to : www.evenbalance.com and see if there is an update for PB... try the latest patches...

Sounds more like a software problem to me since single player's running fine....

LiteOn 52X CD ROM
LiteOn 52X32X52 CDR-W
Western Digital 200GB SATA HD 7200RPM
Asus K8V SE Deluxe (latest BIOS)
ChainTech GeForce FX5200 256MB (I changed this out with the Radeon 128mb for trouble shooting)
Lucent 56k PCI Powercom V90 modem(I even took this out during my trouble shooting)
2-512 DDR W-3200-400mhz RAM ( I changed this out with Kingston 256mb PC2700 for trouble shooting)
Windows XP PRO SP2, Direct X 9.0c
All the latest drivers
I downloaded the drivers from AMD and installed them.
Still getting booted after 40sec.
I am behind a router with DSL, but it works on my AMD 1700XP with Windows XP Pro SP2, and on my sons AMD 1700XP with Windows XP Pro, all on the same router.
Novalogic did email me a .dll file that was the only patch they had.

ATI cards have been having problems with punkbuster enabled games. Have you tried catalyst 4.12 beta?
