I'd like to hear your opinions on what Valve will do next, I've heard that the end of HL2 leaves it open for another sequel, but do you think they will stick with the Half-Life universe exclusively or will they begin to work on other games or even other genres.
I would personally like to see a tactical squad based game set in Black Mesa and/or City 17 from the 3rd person POV.

From what I understand, Valve won't be working on anything major like HL3 for awhile. Right now they're going to focus on other products. Whether they go unto unchartered waters is another story. But when you've got something as successful as the HL universe under your belt, why bother?

With the [content edited] Valve's been through, I doubt it's all about the money. If it was, they could've released HL2 a year after HL to capitalize off the success (*cough* Matrix Reloaded *cough*).

How bout CS:2. I read this somewhere that cs:source is just a temporary solution and their working on creating a full fledged sequal.

I wouldn't be surprised if that was true. TF2 is still in the works as well.

I've given up on TF2, and I think CS2 will be more of a sequel to Condition Zero than CS:S

TFC:S will dominate. It will be more than CS:S, rather than just a "port." As for HL1:S, it works for me, but i see NO diffence between that and HL1
