sony has a poor track record when it comes to new hardware...let's hope the PS3 isn't plagued by unneccessary QC issues like the PS2 and PSP were...the xbox360 could use some real competition..

Watch the conferance at http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3live.html' ">http://www.gamespot.com/e3/e3live.html EDIT: heres some extra more detaild info on the GPU Sony also unveiled the PS3's graphics chip, the RSX "Reality Synthesizer," which is based on Nvidia technology. The GPU will be capable of 128bit pixel precision, 1080p resolution, some of the highest HD resolution around. The RSX also has 512MB of graphics render memory and is capable of 100 billion shader operations and 51 billion dot products per second. It also has more than 300 million transistors, larger than any processor commercially available today. It will be manufactured using the 90nm process, with eight layers of metal. The RSX is more powerful than two GeForce 6800 Ultra video cards, which would cost roughly $1,000 total if purchased today. Go to this link to see where i got that from and more: http://www.gamespot.com/news/2...5/16/news_6124681.html' ">http://www.gamespot.com/news/2...5/16/news_6124681.html

Just do what i do, wait for the 3rd or 4th batch and get it then once the technicle flaws have worked there way out and can be fixed.
They can change the control if they like so it depends what feedback they get probably. Just look at the small print on the bottems of the pictures.
