Yeah. I have only tried Single Player, but the levels themselves are lighted better than anything I have seen. Its got rough edges thats for sure. Monsters are...well in a word....Lame. The environments, and the game engine. Thats the impressive part. What the Engine is capable of. HDR, shadows, particles. All of which are very real. And the Gameplay...is senseless slaughter. I will be playing this for hours on end tonight. ALthough...sometimes when I play, Xfire causes an error. So, I dont play with Xfire on anymore.

High Dynamic Range. Increases lighting, some cases...too much lighting. But, There are some screenshots of it lying around here I think.

Yeah, even the demo videos in the demo itself arent good quality. To believe it, you must see it for yourself. In the game, I am impressed. Its kinda hard to explain.

Bah. Just checked....I wasnt seeing HDR effects. I was seeing the light effects I was tooling with. R4x0 and earlier cards wont support this method of HDR. I dont think those generation of ATI cards support FP blending. Lets hope the R5x0 series does.

It's too cartoonish to me.
You run in a room with 5 bajillion enemies all shooting at you, and you only get an inkling of health shaved off.
Not only this, they seem to come in "waves" where you can't get past a gate till you kill the whole wave. I dunno, it's just very unsophisticated gaming.

and im loving it!!!! just fast paced kill, kill, kill goodness! kind of like the original doom. but thats why doom 3 let me down, i remember just running through levels shooting everything that moves!

HAHAHA. Yeah. only run the game at 1024x768? on an X800XL, I would think you could run a bit higher. The more res you can run...the better this game is. Really.

My computer is all screwed up. I dont know whats wrong with it and I dont have an xp install. Speaking of which if I have my cdkey is it illegal for someone to give me an iso of the install cd because I have my cdkey but I dont have the cd. Anywho I sacrificed resolution for full bloom and and HDR. My computer its wierd all my demos will only go up too 1280X960 but all my full games go up too 1280X1024.

Yeah, I have an X850XT, and I cant get it to 1280x1024. Its 1280x960. Dont know what the deal is. I run with 2xAA, and 16xAF now. Runs smooth as silk. The new 5.9 Catalyst drivers really helped me.

The catalyst drivers make computer run faster too but they make everything like I guess you could call it rough.
