I downloaded the demo of COD2 and in the graphics setting I see it says Force DX7 mode and if I do the graphics look better then if I uncheck directx 7 mode, I thought not being in directx 7 would make everything look better, but it makes it look worse? /wacko.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='wacko.gif' />

What could be causing this?

I have a PNY GeForce 6200 forceware driver 81.85

The thing I dont get is when I run in DX7 I have 1024x768 4x FSAA 8x AF, and when I run without DX7 I cant, but still the graphics look worse /unsure.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='unsure.gif' />

dx 7 did not look "Bad" when i had it checked on my 9600SE. In fact it still looked better than COD1. The difference is the lighting. Thats the only difference i found between DX9s beautiful realistic real time sensitive lighting and DX7s lack there of.
