It's over-hyped! It's nothing more than an ordinary FPS pepped with few spooky scenes. I would call it a HL2-ghostbuster clone. On maximum settings, the game scenery is pretty dark to emphasise the light effects (yawn) - similar to Doom3. Medium or High setting gives a brighter more pleasant gameplay. I am not that excited /dry.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='dry.gif' />

As stated in the other thread, you really need a X800 series ATi or better, or 6800GT series nVidia or better to get the best out of the graphics potential out of this game. It is as good as the review describes. If you like FPS like HL, HL2, Halo, D3, or CoR, I'd put this one your XMAS list.

It's good. I can't really decide how much I like it until I see more. That demo is short. /sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /> I will most likely be buying the full version. May even pre-order it. I do think it is quite a bit hyped. But luckily it is not a total let-down like......oh say, Halo 2 was for me.

I'm very impressed with the games graphics and AI so far. I can run everything at highest possible settings with my X850 with no lag.But I'm very impressed with this and will be buying it the day its released.

That demo was nuts. I was as stunned by the graphics as I was when I first played Doom 3. However, this one had awesome gameplay. I hope the full version is just as good.

/sad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='sad.gif' /> had to turn my graphics settings down a bit for decent framerate(I highly doubt the above poster ran it acceptably with a 9600 on max settings). Looks like a sweet game though. I played the multiplayer beta and sadly it sucked(kinda like doom 3 multiplayer sucks).

Everyone knows that the only thing that makes a good game is graphics--especially you. Did you play the game or just get pissed off because your PC couldn't run it properly?
The gameplay rocks, the bullettime is the best I have seen to date, and the 'spooky scenes' are intense. No less.

YES, it runs here very smooth on my 9600 and the card is even at stock speed! You, or anyone else, can come here anytime to see it if u want. I have no problem with that. /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

You are talkin about system in your sig? Sempron 2600+, 9600pro, 1gig ddr 400 ram. I just can't see that running on max, you mean processor and graphics are on max?

Well, yes, my only other system is K6 based with a 16MB video card. /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />
The game is set all on highest setting, 1024x768x32 display but shadows and AA disabled and (of course) DX8 shaders since my card does not have DX8 support. The game runs perfectly smooth! U in Brisbane? - come here! What impressed me most was the pretty realistic (but somewhat strong) water reflections in that one room only visible when u are on highest display detail.

Are you on maximum or high? I do agree that it is much brighter and stuff in the medium setting but I also think that in higher it is a whole lot sharper.
And what room are you talkin about where the water is? I think I know what you are talkin about. But I can see that on minimum, low, medium, high, and maximum.

One of my managers at work has a 6600GT and a friend of mine has a 9700pro and both have to run it at medium settings to keep a playable frame rate.

Yes, the water is there in all modes but the water reflections on the wall are fairly stunning. I'll see if I manage a screenshot and post here later on.
