Yes, it is way too much intro movie in the FEAR demo blowing it out of proportion.

I tried the Area51 demo which is close to a GIG unpacked, came on my comp. mag's DVD. Here u have allot more gameplay. U even have to find out how to accomplish the mission /biggrin.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='biggrin.gif' />

Well, it looks like Monolith is back !
New technology at work.
From what I have determined until now, the game will be better ranked than S.T.A.L.K.E.R.

What plasma gun? That thing that disenegrates people? (spelling?)

And I saw that Area-51 had nice graphics from screens and stufuf but when I got that demo it looked really F'd up, like it came out 4 years ago...

yep, that plasma gun, press shift to zoom in real close...really effective when taking out the enemy troops on the helicopter platform...another thing I found out...if you back track to pick up any armor or health packs you missed, when you come back, be prepared to fight...

Yeah I found that one out as well. I still am amazed with the AI in this game. They respond to noises, the flashlight, and very effciantly too.

Yes, very nice AI. I like how they communicate with each other when they don't see you. And they will shoot out a window and then jump out of it and roll behind a box. You can tell that the AI is really trying not to die.

And the slow-mo thing is great. I love it, /smile.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='smile.gif' />!.

Decent games are a matter of personal taste in the first place. There is no universal formula to excite everyone. For me, all current games show zilch gameplay/scenery intelligence - it's worth a fart!

I never buy that argument personally. Everyone always through history has said that, new ideas always come. And there will always be knockoffs of old ideas.

I LOVED this demo, played it 3 times actually. Too short, I will be buying this game. The graphics are awesome. I love the effects of the bullets bouncing off everything as sparks.

Yeah, the game is one of the best I have ever played...and its just a demo. I thought the girl giggling and the guy disappearing was a pretty nice effect. Made it REALLY freaky. Got some fun games out right now.

Yeah, I played the demo again today. I love that plasma rifle thing. Its so cheap tho, you can zoom in and turn them into skeletons so easy. Ahhh, cant wait to see the multiplayer on this.

First time I saw him I thought I killed him, cause my gut reaction was to fire my shotgun several times. Didnt realize untill playing it through again that he just disapears. And the hallway with the footprints.... very nice.

Still I think the AI is one of its more impresive points, best I've seen in a game.

did any of you look at the flickering monitor in the room where you pick up the plasma gun?? it's a short video playback of a security camera...the little girl appears for half a second then disappears....very creepy....

I hate/love that the demo ended just when things were getting really creepy....

Yeah. I was really ticked off in regards to the ending. I wanted so much more. This Demo is a great marketing move thats for sure. And I remember reading about how some people at E3 were dissapointed in this. I havent got this much enjoyment out of a demo since SS:SE.
