I was wondering if any of you have purchased this latest version of BF 1942 that was just released this past October. Yeah yeah i know this is an old game.

Prior to this, it was BF 1942 War Anthology that was the suite package that included the 2 expansion packs.

I had deliberately avoided the original BF 1942 as there were too many complaining of it being too buggy /mad.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='mad.gif' /> , even though there are patches.

Needles to say if anyone hasn't yet played the first BF, this complete collection is the one to get. It's on sale at amazon for $25+ for 4 games in 1. /tongue.gif' border='0' style='vertical-align:middle' alt='tongue.gif' />
My only serious concern is whether this latest package has all the patches included.

its a shame you missed out on the original game. Lots of good times with online play and tons of mods for this game.

It wasn't as buggy as you might have heard. It runs well and if you like to play some good gaming with tons of mods pick it up. sheesh for $25 why not.

As for patches generally they are already up to date but, a simple download from EA's site will get you up and running.

I just reinstalled BF1942 and RTR with the following mods : forgotten hope/desert conflict/ and the star wars one that I forget the name to

-------------------------
AMD X2 3800+ Manchester
ASROCK dual SATA 2
Diamond Max 10 250gig 16mb cache 7200rpm
1024MB Corsair PC3200 Dual Channel DDR 400Mhz
ATI X800XL 256DDR3 radeon
