This link was sent to me by Newfan. It is very interesting.

To me, it shows how we are becoming ever more closer to being involved in the VR world. Now, these controllers are clearly made in a generic way; that is to say, they are made to fit any game and that is why they are a boring shape. But what if we were to change the shape of the controller from such a shape into a cricket bat, pistol or rifle... How much more thrilling would a game be. Now, I am talking economics here, so do not come telling me how much the whole finincial subject would be a problem. It is just a great technology. I did not actually know the Wii would have such a controller until this week, to be honest.

How about that though, CoD 3 coming with its own rifle shaped controller.

if you can feel like your moving around, running, eating, taste, thats VR. This is just another version of duck hunt with better graphics.

Have you guys seen http://wiihaveaproblem.com/ ? Apparently the remote straps are a little less robust than they need to be.

but all mixed in, were saying that the technology to create virtual relality, or at least to have a realisitci controller for it is in our hands. right now the Wii is probably the most basic form of fully motion sensend games where sight, smell, even the taste of the air will all be generated. Motion sensing is very important for this and we have that down.

This is not a closer step to VR, there are other things like it and have been for YEARS. hence DUCK HUNT!(with its own controller) the nintendo running mat, Dance Dance revolution. The stuff has been here for a long time...

Wii is a console. So all its tech, games and such are gaming. hehe. It fits in either category if you wanna be picky.

Nintendo has been trying at this for what 10 years now? If they finally did it, its about time. But till I see it works as speculated Im not seeing at as anything innovative.

until you see it works?? well, its out, and people are buying it, and it works, and it is innovative. instead of using a controller with joysticks you have a controller you move around for motion sensitive control

I perfer the keyboard over a pad, and besides, GTLegends is the most realistic driver I've played and its for computer so computer even gets better games

Saying he doesn't like people who stay with the same thing all the time is not comparable to hating people who like to read, that doesn't even make sense. It'd be more like, I hate people who just settle with VCR's for all their life rather than seek out to try the DVD

Even though we already have motion sensing technology, this is a step into the direction of mass VR production
