It can. I think either Mime, or Ardrid sent me a link on FOlding....it is Beta tho, and its getting to be about the time where its hot in the house....right before my dad will turn the AC on, so, I am out on the GPU folding part until about june.

hmm I might look into that but hopefully there's no pixel shader or I'll be better off with the CPU by itself

I think the name of it is "Brook_GPU" or something of the like. You might do a Google search or something. I have the file...its just buried in my PC

Yeah, BrookGPU is a compiler that allows general purpose software to be run on graphics processors. I don't know what programs have been ported, probably not many, but it couldn't hurt to look. It uses only floats, and for that reason requires a fairly modern card(R3x0, NV3x, or better). Inital reports of performance were...impressive.

So, Mime.....Now that you have the 9800 pro, you gonna try this? More folding power!

I might if it's available. I kinda doubt porting the client over would be high on the Pande group's list of priorities though...

Yeah, I might try that. Or something that Brook GPU can help with. The term "More is Better" applies in this case.
