In order to fold, all you need is your computer to be on, and the Folding@Home program to be running. You will also need to be connected to the internet once every few days. Folding utilizes any CPU power that is currently not in use. Your CPU will always show 100% utilization, but you will not experience any slowdowns. The reason being that the program gives itself low priority, thus other programs are tended to first. The memory hit is very low too, a few megs. If you don't want to run the folding@home application at all times, you can do as I do, and use it as a screensaver.

Everything can be found at the Folding@Home website' ">http://folding.stanford.edu/ (you can get the program at the download section) and our AMD Distributed Computing Forum.' ">http://forums.amd.com/index.php?showforum=27

Thanks for participating,
Sambjo

EDIT: P.S., our folding team is 34106.
