Yeah mine faield the test, but after install I click the update and find driver thing it worked. But yeah, your folding would take a hit in performance with Vista, and those Pentiums are already two steps behind.

ok you guys may have noticed my points have been low for a few weeks. thats because i gutted the 4800+ and replaced it with a QC6600
after having fun and games with the windows installation due to bad memory and then activation issues grrrr its now up and running.

so an update on my rigs is in order.
still just two machines:

the fx60/1GB/x1950xt is still faithfully running the smp client
and the new kid on the block is the QC6600/2GB/x1950xt-x also running smp.

once im sure its happy and ive got an idea of its ppd i may see what happens if i assign one core for gpu folding as the 1950xt-x can crank out 900ppd on its own

never thought of that, good idea 3 core smp 1 core gpu... congrats on your new toy. what stepping, hsf, and mobo did you get? I researched those things forever it seemed beforehand.. only in the end just too pick randomly from the top 3 or 4 mobo's I had narrowed it down to.
pm me if you need any help ocing it... took me a couple days to iron mine out...

Kc, it looks like your point average is going up. Have you added any folders lately?

The San Diego: folds only as often as I'm on it.
San Diego 3700+(@2.4GHz currently)
Epox EP-9U1697
2x512MB Geil One Series TCCD(@DDR436 currently)
Sapphire Radeon X800XL Crossfire Card

The Prescott: folds more often than the Sandy, and works on two cores.
Intel Pentium 4 Prescott 2.8GHz 800mhz fsb@stock
Intel D865GBF Desktop Board
2x512MB Patriot 2.5-3-3-7
Sapphire Radeon X1650Pro

The Northwood: parents PC, folds whenever they have it on.
Intel Pentium 4 Northwood 2.2GHz 400mhz fsb@stock
Gigabyte....board
2x256MB Geil DDR400, 2x256MB Kingston ValueRAM DDR400
ATI Radeon 9600XT
(I really wish my PC could do what this PC does. Folds all day and doesn't see temps above 26C)

Currently that's all I have folding...I had two Pentium2 based machines that I had folding for awhile....but they really didn't get anything done. Now I have like four Pentium2 based machines downstairs in the basement doing absolutely nothing, and I'm thinking of giving them another try....maybe after giving them a bit more RAM, and throwing Pentium2 450's in all of them. I'm thinking of setting up some sort of Linux server for them, but we'll have to see if I can read up on it enough to understand what to do. I may also be able to throw another Pentium4 machine into that mix.

I wonder if there is anyone else on our team who is using a PS3 besides you and I.

I also want to know what Knoxaustin is folding with. He's moving right along.
What are you running Knox?

Made some changes to my lineup

This one is running both SMP and GPU2 Clients. still trying to figure out if its running effectivly with both. if it turns out that it doesnt, im going to probably run just GPU2 on it. This one is doing about 2000PPD with GPU2+SMP:

AMD 6400+ 3.2GHz Zalman 9700 Cooling
Gigabyte MA790FX-DS5 Motherboard
4 GB Geil Evo 1 6400
Asus 2900XT 512MB Pcie
10x 120mm Case Fans in a TT Mozard Tx case

This one i just got a new 3870 Today for it so its a GPU2 Client now. Averaging 2200PPD:

AMD 6000+ 3.0GHZ Stock Cooling
2 GB Crucial 667MHz
VisionTek 3870
Antec 900 Case

My slowest one its folding at about 200PPD LOL its old. Running 2 CPU Clients
Dell something lol
Pentium 4 3GHz
2 GB Generic Ram
ATI X1600 AGP
Dell Case

Playstation 3, i dont know how many PPD that is.

Im guessing im running at about 5500PPD now, compaired to about 2 months ago when i was running at like 1300PPD. so im trying to get in the game now!

I have a few others that i could piece together from extra parts, but i dont know if it would be worth is. i have a few Athlon XP's 2500, 2100, and i think a 1800. but i dont know if they would actually get anything done. maybe ill sit down and try one of them one day

I see you're sailing right along Cvis3. It looks like you have everything going in the same direction at the same time.
