I've got one of these coming in next week to put in my sempron box:
SAPPHIRE 100209L Radeon X1950GT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 AGP 4X/8X
http://www.newegg.com/Product/...?Item=N82E16814102093
and was wondering yall have any pointers that'll save me some headaches with running the gpu client (it's currently running the console client-single core, and I plan on running both console cpu and console gpu clients together).

This the machine it's going in:
AMD Sempron 3300+ (Barton )
Biostar M7NCG
2x1GB PC3200 DDR
Maxtor 60GB ATA
No monitor
XPsp2 32bit
Folding Console Client 5.04

Thanks, Mike

dont run the cpu and gpu clients together on a single core. the gpu client polls the processor which slows down the cpu client to the point it becomes worthless.

Thanks AM... I found a thread on it too at http://forum.folding-community...viewtopic.php?t=19980

I'll probably just keep the card and run the gpu... no sense in returning it and paying shipping both ways and a restock fee... plus I've got an old geforce card in that box that'll go on ebay for a couple $$ back...

good info. thanks... at least I won't have to deal with the frustration of getting both clients to work together, and crappin out...
