I have an AMD phenom II 965 processor (C3) and gigabyte motherboard model GA-MA785GT-UD3H.

I requested from Gigabyte drivers for AMDAway for windows 7 64 bit version and got a reply that there is no such driver.
I find it hard to believe that a 64bit CPU does not have a driver available for one of its functionalists on a 64 bit operating system and would like to know how and where can I obtain such a driver.

This is a common complaint on several forums. As far as I know there is no 64bit Away Mode driver for Windows 7. I have no idea why, but only the 32bit version is built into Windows 7 and not 64bit. Your system will work, but features like sleep may not.

From my research I found to possible solutions to this problem. One is to get it from the Vista 64bit DVD if you have one. The other is to install a null device using the following AwayMode.inf file HERE.
