I'm running Win XP Pro SP3 32bit with an Athlon II X2 250 and an AMD 760G/710SB AM3 motherboard. Does anyone know if I need to install "AMD Processor Driver Version 1.3.2.0053 for Windows XP -- 08/31/2007" and "AMD Dual-Core Optimizer Version 1.1.4 -- 07/31/2008"?

If it aint broke dont fix it
If it dont break it why not

Check your driver date and see if those are newer

I built a gaming rig on the cheap. This will be a fresh install of XP on a new rig. Couldn't fit Win 7 in my budget

Does AMD have a download section for Athlon-II's? If so, are those downloads located under it? If not.. then "NO".

Honestly, when I had my dual core skt 939's I downloaded those updates, I noticed zero difference. The processor driver is just for the "power saving" features, as for the dual core update, I do not remember exactly why it was released, but I did install it and noticed no difference.
