koniec Lurker Posts: 1 Joined: 02/27/2012	hi, I have ASRock AM2NF3-VSTA mobo without cpu, and I cant see my bios version or update it. I want to buy AM3 cpu for mobo (Athlon II X2 250), and cpu-upgrade.com states it needs P3.30 bios. my question is, will I be able to run this cpu on mobo if my bios is older than required, only to update bios? anyone tried this? thanks a lot.

go_for Alpha Geek Posts: 3217 Joined: 01/21/2006	The BIOS chip on motherboard has a label that states current BIOS version. There is a chance the board will POST with older BIOS version with that processor, but I do not know for sure. http://www.asrock.com/mb/cpu.asp?Model=AM2NF3-VSTA -------------------------
