The stock heatsink i got with my amd64 3500+ winchester noise level is very high. You can hear it from other rooms in my house. Is it supposed to be that way? Because this noise is really LOUD. Almost as loud as a hairdryer.
And one more thing..the new design on the heatsink..the one that doesnt have a "locker" for the safety hook. Whats the function of the safetyhook if u cant lock it(so that it stays at its place). Isnt it cinda stupid and confusing to have the safetyhook then? I mean uve removed the locker..why not just remove the whole thing then? Just wondering

Sounds about right. After all it costs about $2 to manufacture.
