I just bought a barbones kit from Tigerdirect and a 80gig hardrive and a PNY 8x AGP Vertigo GeForce FX 5500 128MB video card. When I put it together i made sure that the cpu power connector was pluged in and double checked all connections. The motherboard is a Gigabyte GA-K8U the little RAM LED on it is allways on even with no memory. There is no beeps when it starts up to say that anything could be bad. Everything else poweres up just fine. So I don't know if the problem is the video card, memory or a bad motherboard.
