i was wondering whether athlon64 3000+ s.939 has support for the 2000MT/s FSB or this FSB is used only by the superior models such as 4000+ or FX processors. i thought that each athlon 64 s.939 cpu supports the 2000 MT/s FSB but now i'm not so sure since every program that i had run (including cpu-z) says my cpu's FSB is 200 MHz and not 1000 MHz as i thought it should be. my mobo is MSI K8N Neo4-F and it supports 2000MT/s FSB.

you are getting the HT (hypertransport) and the cpu core clock confused. the core clock speed (fsb) is 200mhz on s939 A64 cpu's and s940's. the HT is what runs at 2000mhz on s939 A64 cpu's as a muliti of the core clock speed. the cpu speed is also a multi of this clock speed. (1800mhz=9x200mhz)
