Hey all,
A friend of mine wants to get a AMD 64 3200-3500 and also upgrade later on to a X2 CPU.

Which mobo will support 64 and 64 X2 CPUs (with BIOS update). And also which chipset to avoid.

The only chipset that you need to avoid is the VIA KT890. Otherwise, any chipset is fine. But try getting your hands on the nForce4

any mobo that will support an fx series processor will support the X2 with a few exceptions. via kt890 being one of them to avoid. as far as good ones, nf4 seems to be a popular choice. i'm going with a kt800pro.
