Last night as I was messing around with my RAM timings, I encountered frequent BSOD's. Just for kicks, I enabled the NX bit for both Windows system programs and regular programs (check both options). The BSOD miraculously disappeared! However,it wasn't Prime stable.
Am I right in concluding the following?
-My BSOD was due to memory leakage. -Enabling the NX bit for all programs prevented one program from overwriting the memory allocated to another. -Is this a small step to increasing the stability of your system?
Any comments would be appreciated.
PS* I am aware of certain reports attributing crashes to the XP implementation of the NX bit.
