Hi,

I have the AMD 4000+ Processor. When I ordered it, it was listed as:

Core: ClawHammer
Operating Frequency: 2.4GHz
FSB: Integrated into Chip
Cache: Level 1 64KB+64KB; Level 2 1MB
Voltage: 1.5V
Process: 130nm
Socket: Socket 939
Multimedia Instruction: MMX(+), 3DNOW!(+), SSE, SSE2, x86-64
with Heatsink and Fan

It was retail boxed, not OEM.

Today I ran RightMark CPU/Memory Test. It has my Core listed as NewCastle....Is this Right? .....if so what is the difference. Please help....Thanks

a 4000+ is a clawhammer core.
with 1MB L2 Cache.
its revision is SH7-CG

newcatles has a revision of DH7-CG

difference is newcastle cores have 512K L2 Cache
and Clawhammers normally have 1MB some processors have an exception tho
