Athlon 64 3200+ AM2 here, clocked at 2.6Ghz (0.05v vcore increase)

on an average day with day temps around 30C (86F), cpu idle temp's about 38C and full load about 45C.

if i run it at stock 2.0Ghz, idle's about 35/36C and full is around 40-42C.

stock HSF. the computer is in a room which can see a rise of room temps up to 33C but the max the load temps ever go up to is about 56C (when overclocked to 2.6Ghz)

with Cn'Q on, idle drops to about 32-33C

Hi guys,

Just plugged in my new Dual Core 4600+ its running fine & core temps are at 32 degrees when idle...46 degrees at full load, using stock heatsink. Its stable, thats all that matters.

I wouldnt worry bout the odd degree here or there.

Cheerz

Did some upgrading to my system; added an Antec True Power II Blue 480W PS and switched the stock HSF with an Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 Pro and used Arctic Silver 5 thermal paste. Now Core Idle temps show are 26-28C and Load Core Temps run 36-38C

Getting ready to upgrade to an AMD Athlon 64X2 4800+ tomorrow We'll see how that works out

put it on realllllly thinly, to thich a paste causes heat block!! i know it happened to me, thinned it out and dropped 8 degrees!!

Hi guys!

Quite dead thread but give it a go.

I have a AMD X2 4400+ (Toledo) and a Nvidia 7800GTX.
Cooler is Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 pro and AS 5.

According to Everest Ultimate Edition I have the following temps when cool and quite is on and the PC is idle:

MB: 36 C
CPU: 53 C
Core 1: 37 C
Core 2: 35 C
GPU: 41 C
GPU Diode: 52 C
GPU surrounding: 38 C
Seagate: 39 C
Seagate: 36 C

What do you think about my CPU temp? Where is that measured? It can't be 53 C when the cores are well below 40 C right?!? There must be something wached with the probe or something. Do you know how wrong it can be?

Any help is appreciated!
