i know you dont NEED it but future graphics cards are going to utilize 16x and it'll be far better...so i dont wanna have to upgrade later...it's all going that way...first pci...agp...2x,4x,8x... now pci-e....agp graphics cards are still out proforming the pci-e cards...but the technology is an infant... just my two cents...dont need it..but...i want it ;D

The A64 3400+ is an excellent processor that will last quite awhile - also, prices went down recently
QUOTE i know you dont NEED it but future graphics cards are going to utilize 16x and it'll be far better...so i dont wanna have to upgrade later I can understand that you want the latest technology out there if you're buying a new motherboard, but by the time PCI-E vs. AGP really makes a noticable diference, you would prolly have to buy a new motherboard anyways
PCI-E enabled chipsets and motherboards are going to be released soon, but if you really want PCI-E support on an Athlon 64 platform, you will prolly have to wait a few months until the end of Q3 or early Q4 of this year.
