I have heard many different things about when 90nm will debut, athlon 64 they say will be out 3rd to 4th quarter teis year but that FX wont be out till H205? Is that right, does anyone know for sure?

No, it's rumored that the FX-57 won't be out until then, something that I don't place much stock in. All 90nm parts, including the FX, will be available in Q3-Q4.

Man i sure hope your right.... i had 4 things that needed to happen before i upgraded. (1. K8 cpu's) (2. socket 939) (3. 90nm die shrink (Especially FX cpu)) (4. Win-XP 64 (but i can get this anytime so not a major factor) really all i need are the first 3 things to happen for me to upgrade.

So are you saying that FX will debut on 90nm as in an FX-55? Or did you mean FX-57?

I wouldn't be so sure of that...according to the current official Roadmap' ">http://www.amd.com/us-en/Proce.../0,,30_118_608,00.html, the 90nm Athlon 64 FX 'San Diego'-core is slated for the 1st half of 2005.

There will be an FX-55 this year, most likely, but chances are it will still be a 130nm part...
The FX-57 will prolly be the first 90nm Athlon 64 FX, i'd expect it to be out in early 2005 - some time later that year(2nd half), 'Toledo' will come out...that's a dual-core 90nm A64 FX
