ive been runnin on an AMD athalon 2400+ for about a year, and its just time to upgrade, and i wanna upgrade to the 64 bit chip....now i was wondering whether i will have to change my Operating System From Xp Professinal to Xp 64, or is Professinal able to run it.?!

No need, you new Athlon 64 will run XP Pro even faster then your Athlon XP.

Windows XP 64-bit officaly out until next year.
You can load it as a beta today, but make sure you can find drivers for all your devices first.

The AMD Athlon 64's are 100% compatible with Windows XP Professional and they will also be able to run the 64 bit version of Windows when it is released.
