Received 3200 cpu from pcboost.com. Cpu has "warrenty void if removed" sticker stuck to top of metal heat spreader on cpu. Have sent pcboost 3 emails requesting suggestions. No reply. What do you think of this practice? Please help. I can send a pic if you'ld like, but I don't know how to include.

i'd say remove the sticker carefull and put the sticker on something else, anything but the cpu. i have no clue why someone would put a sticker on the die of the cpu, they must be stupid are maybe it was just for fun.

Yeh, thanks. That's what I did, sorta. The cpu was oem, so the sticker didn't apply to anything else as far as the warrenty goes. My line of thinking was along yours, that the folks at pcboost.com are either really stupid or really mean.

They must be really stupid. Because one would surely need to use the warranty if the sticker was NOT removed.

I would clean the surface with rubbing alcohol to make sure all adhesive from the sticker is cleaned off as well.

It is a clever ploy to make it impossible to obtain warranty for the OEM cpu muhahahaa!

there is a company that shall remain nameless here near me that builds computers like that. And they go out rather fast too, no wonder

And what's worse, they build mostly AMD units and people blame AMD for the companies stupidity!
