I was wondering if maybe an AMD representative could briefly tell me about the new processor available at Michael's Computers' ">http://www.michaelscomputers.com. He claims exclusive rights to the new AMD FX-51 3400+ with 1000KB of L1 cache. I am wondering what kind of a relationship AMD has with Michael's Computers and how this processor was developed exclusively for him. I am also curious if any other manufactures are currently having this processor developed for them.

Thank you for your time.

It's called "BS". There is no such processor. 3400+ is Athlon 64.
Athlon FX only does and WILL carry a rating like 51, 53 and so on.

If he claims - tell him to STFU

Just so you know Ima, this is a user to user support forum. When you post a question here the people you're asking are other owners of AMD products. With that said, yeah, that dude has his wires crossed. An AMD processor with the name of "FX-51 3400+" does not exist.

I did not know this was a strictly user-to-user forum. I thought maybe there were some AMD representatives that could verify or denounce the claims. Thank you for your replies.

And who might I add, gets an average 788 FPS in 3DMARK03? Thats what he said that FX-51 3400+ runs at. Anyway, just thought I would point that out.

I am aware of the fraudulant activities going on over at Mike's Crap Shack, I just wanted to have verifiable proof before I call the Attorney General of California's office on Monday. Sorry if this seems like "spam" on your guy's forum. For this I appologize. I just want this man off the internet. No one deserves to be suckered into something like that.

No need to apologize. I'm glad you pointed it out. It'll keep other unsuspecting users from thinking this guy is actually legit...sorta like those ECS combo packages that claim to have Duron 2000+ PROs.

Yeah don't worry about it. The way it is right now, I think the site its self is all the proof you'd need.

Actually, he told me in an email that it was

AND I QUOTE
"1000MB versus the outdated 512MB Pentium 4's."
Yeah, that's straight from the email.

He also basically told me that he was too busy building computers to answer the rest of my questions, which conventiently can't really be answered because it is such bs that you couldn't defend it for $1e+06. He also told me he just says that his computers are stellar silent, not .11db. And he even has "Idinimic 6 Channeling TXK Hyperdrives"! Someone, PLEASE, put him out of business.
