What is the difference between the new F Socket and the AMD2 Socket for Athlon CPU's?

three hypertransport links... soon to be four
this means more bandwidth to I/O and other cpus
socket F is for server and workstations...
socket 1207 FX is for those users needing mega-tasking abilities.
both of these platforms will be the first to see quad core parts in about 6 months...
