Hello all!
Have a temp question....
Firstly, I am using Everest Ultimate V4
Just wondering if this is normal. My over all CPU temp is showing at 26c,
Core#1 28c, and Core#2 39c.
I just upgraded to a 64 3800x2 (Toledo) and I am happy with the performance thus far. (also added a 2gb OCZ ram kit too ) It replaced a tired 2 and half year old 3500+ (Newcastle).
If this helps it my motherboard is a Abit AN8-SLi. OS: Vista Home Premium. PSU is a Enermax 535w.

Let me clarify my question. The difference in temp between core 1 and core 2... is that normal?

normal... just 1-2C difference
your cpu should not exceed 65C

But the difference between the core's temps shows about 10c. Again it maybe the software I am using. Or a lack of a real sensor point.....bios does not show the temps of each core. Just the over all. So it could be the best "guess" for everest. Anyway thought I would ask.

It's just the way they are. Usually the 1st core will be used more often by single threaded apps. Plus the memory controller is beside the 1st core so that'll add to the core temperature. I had variances like that in my 3800+, 4200+ and now my FX-60. I just think that's how they run. I can say I haven't had a problem so I wouldn't worry unless your overall CPU hits 65 or your core hits 70.
