Just upgraded motherboard and processor (see signature). When I reboot windows XP SP2 finds new hardware (so it says) but it doe's not list what it is nor can it find the drivers and it puts the yellow question mark as Unknown Device and the Device Instance Id is ACPI\AWY0001\2&DABA3FF&0.

In searching I've found some discussion on it being a problem with the AMD Athlon 64 X2 but no solution other than "Ignore it".

Anyone got a clue?

that supposedly is the AMD away driver

you need to go through MSI divers and make sure you have everything installed.

In fact why don't you install MSI Live Update and let it grab what you need and apply it. (drivers, bios, utilities)

that's what I do for the MSI board in my sig.
the bios and drivers are the important ones in MSI Live Update.
The utilities are mostly fluff..

but, seriously install MSI Live Update and use the systray icon to let it connect to MSI, read your board config, and it will download and apply what you need.
