Hi there.

I need to build a machine for my brother based around a Matrox RT X.100 Extreme Pro video capture card. This will be a S939 or dual S940 machine (if possible).

The problem: Matrox have not tested or validated *any* AMD64 motherboards or chipsets for use with this card. Some chipsets are listed as supported / compatible and some are listed as incompatible. There aren't any AMD64 listings in either group. for the incompatible chipsets / boards, Matrox is generally referring to a specific problem: a PCI bandwidth limitation on the chipsets. I'm thinking this is somewhat unlikely on something like a Tyan board with an AMD chipset - but I need to know for sure before I spend a few grand on a system that *must* work with thisMatrox card.

Any suggestions / feedback welcome.
