I am using a Shuttle SN95g5V3 with a Amd Athlon 64 x2 3800+. Windows is not registering the processor with any name and your cpu info program does not show it using 2 processors. Is there a guide to setting up your processor in windows? I wanted to verify that my CPU is being utilized in Windows XP home.

Does the bios you are running on support X2?

I have a similar situation with my Shuttle SN95G5v3 with 3800x2. A Shuttle tech told me that board does not support the 3800x2, only 4200x2 and up but he suggested I update the bios here http://www.shuttle.com/share/f...q/to...flash%20SOP.htm' ">http://www.shuttle.com/share/f...s/E_Winflash%20SOP.htm

It recognizes the processor now but nVidia ethernet drivers will crash system upon install. I just got a reply from the tech as I type this post, he said "The problem is when the bios is updated it also changes the onboard LAN’s firmware. This sometimes happens. The only work around is to do a fresh install of Windows and then install the motherboard chipset drivers again."

Sweet! if this works were in business.

leexgx, you are correct sir, kindof. the drivers on the Shuttle CD crash the system again, the new ethernet drivers (Not Nforce4) from http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_5.10.html' ">http://www.nvidia.com/object/nforce_udp_winxp_5.10.html work properly after yet another Windows install (so far)
