So my cpu temp reads idle about 46C, in both bios and board utility software, but the heatsink doesn't feel remotely warm, possible AS5 didn't cover enough surface area ?
i used proper amount in center and spread with pressure of heatsink.

i'm guessing just didn't cover as much of the heat spreader as i woulda liked
i'll take it off when i get my thermaltake A8

I used the stock pad that came on the HSF. & it's currently 27C/80F. (this forum is the only thing my computer is doing.)I'm seeing alot of high temps with the last few posts. I see people saying your temps are fine, as long as the system is running stable. If you feel you could do a better job of applying the AS5 then you may just get lower temps. It may not be worth taking it off again though, it's up to you.
