I was thinking my drives were acting a bit slow when burning, considering the cd does 40X.
I checked the tfr mech, abd its set at DMA mode 2.
The via bus master settings say it can support up to dma 6.
Do cd/dvd drives normally only work at mode 2, while 6 is reserved for hd's?

Thanks.
Big g
