Hi!

Suddenly Cool and Quiet technology stopped working in my HP Pavilion 6158 Laptop.
CPU is going at full speed all the time. CPU load is normail. Minimal Power Scheme is selected. Latest AMD driver is installed. BIOS is updated. CPU temp 50 celsius.

Any ideas?

WinXp Home SP2

Thanks,

Technic

Hi!

Thanks for the reply kniwor. I did not change any settings at first. Then i tried different power schemes. Oddly its working now, i set the power scheme to MAX BATTERY.

It was minimal power management before. Ans CnQ worked with that. Strange...

Cheers,

Technic

Since it is working now I assume the problem was with some setting in the minimal power management scheme. When you start your laptop you should be able to go into the bios and check out the clock options, i know on my dell pentium m its called cpu speeds.
