has anyone here installed this zalman cooler on the asus a8v-d, on zalmans site they say you don't use the backplate cause of some capacitors on back of m/b but just remove the retention bracket and tighten the two screws down on the heatsink, if anyone has done this how did the install go, thanks.

I installed that heatsink on ASUS A8N-SLI deluxe.
What I did was remove the plate that came with the mobo and put the black plastic plate tht came with the Zalman heatsink.
