I am running an Athlon 64-3500 on an Asrock 939 Dual Sata2 Motherboard. I have several hard drives, good power supply, good video card and 2x1g Corsair Memory.

My system will reboot using an intensive flash program and sometimes other "flash type programs". I had a similar problem before using a good pair of 512m memory modules. The system does not crash in single channel and Memtest only fails in dual channel mode. I have eliminated everything else I can test

AMD earlier advised to replace the GEIL memory with something else so I bought new Corsair. The system seemed to run fine for about a month but now the rebooting has returned. I tried another setup by switching hard drives which was a few months out of date (too eliminate newly installed software) but it is the same so isn't software related. Operating temp is always under 50c. Overclocking is not a factor.

As the memory controller is on the CPU, what are the odds it is anything else?

I run an ATI X800XT PE and it seems good. SI Sandra passed this machine on its stress tests. Why would it only show up as a problem in dual channel? Okay, I know computers are perverse.

I am guessing some flaw on the processor memory controller is causing memory problems. This new memory worked fine for a month now boom. I hate for it to ruin expensive memory.
