Hello all, this is my first post, i have been reading through this forum for the past few days trying to find a solution to my huge problem. I just bought a brand new AMD X2 4600+ and since i have installed it i have had major problems. The pc will just freeze and i will be lucky to finish this post in time before the next freeze.

My pc specs are:-

Msi K8N NEO2 Platinum mobo
4 sticks corsair value select ram= 4 GB total
Be silent 450 watt psu
Arctic cooler pro fan
Radeon 9550 video card
2 sata maxtor 200 GB hd

My cpu temp is about 26 to 35, really not a problem and the mobo about the same temp.

I have done a complete reinstallation of windows after installing the X2 to the mobo.

I have to finish this post right now sorry if the info is lacking but i need to get this posted asap before my system crashes.

Thanks a lot to anyone who can shed any light on this for me, IM DESPERATE!!!

I have installed latest amd driver for the cpu, the optimizer and the hotfix, and all the latest drivers for all my hardware.

THanks very much!!!!!!

- Test your memory with memtest, damaged memory can cause the strangest things.
- Make sure your voltage lines are stable, i've never heard of the 'Be Silent' brand so don't know the quality of it.
- I see that the temperatures are okay, but make sure that all fans are spinning. I've seen more than one dead chipset fan on the Neo2.

Did you go from single to dual? If so a fresh install of windows should do the trick. And maybe try 2 sticks of memory

make sure that you have an updated bios

you can also try running it with just 2 sticks of ram to see if that helps
