I am trying to make a demo disc for a local band using portions of a live recording they made and burned to a cd. When I try to record a clip everything seems to work as planned but when I go to replay the saved file (clip) I can't hear anything. I can do a voice over using a microphone and it works great and I can hear it just fine. I can't save a file from a cd. I'm using a new computer that I built a month ago. Here's what I have. Is there anything I need to do to the motherboard? jumper?

Athlon 64 3700 w/fan
Machspeed K8M8MS motherboard
Ultra 500w PS
Lite On CD / DVD burner
Ultra 1024 RAM
Maxtor 160g HD
Gfrce 5500 video card
XP pro

no sound card
