Hello, I am a first time PC builder.

I have a 3800 X2 proc and a Biostar Tforce4u motherboard

The processor went in fine, I applied the heatsink to the processor, the problem is that the black lever will NOT go in the locked position. There is too much tension, if I force it, it will break. Everything else appears to be in the correct position. Please help!

it is a very tight fit i had it with my x2

I've uploaded a few pictures so everyone knows what I am trying to say.

Everything seems to be in the correct position, the problem is that the lever has almost no give and it feels like if I force it down it will definitely break.

That seems to have done it, thanks so much. I was really convinced it was going to snap but figured I'd give it a shot.

One more question, if I pulled off the heatsink and then reapplied it once? do you think that the thermal goo got messed up, or should it be alright?
