I have an sk8n mobo and the asus probe 2 software that it came with it. It says my fans are below threshold but how do i speed them up.

Below threshold is probably below 1800-2000 rpm. Which is excellent for noise. Look at fanspeed at bootup. Most probably the fanspeed is higher at that time.

Find out how fast your fans are spinning first. When you do this then adjust the threshold and you won't have the probe going off all the time.
