For those of you who are like me wanting to use your Windows XP 64-Bit with your Promise SATA RAID controller I got a response from Promise. They said that the drivers are being developed right now and they don't have a date as to when they will be released.
Do any of you know of a SATA RAID card that does have drivers on the WinXP 64 beta? I might pick one up just to tide me over.
Well if you think about it ASUS didn't expect any of us to have a beta of Windows XP 64-bit. They figured there would be drivers by the real release of it.

QUOTE (britishgreenworm @ Oct 28 2003, 05:26 PM) my via raid broke .. What happened? If you have the MSI board, I would recommend you flash to the latest BIOS. PM me if you need it - I can't rememeber the link

I got the same answer last week from Promise Technology tech support, so it sounds like they are not in a hurry to finish the 64-bit drivers. Also, Microsoft has delayed WindowsXP 64-bit edition for AMD until the second half of next year.

I have the asus, I doubt it's a bios problem though. It won't even recognize that the hdd's are there. It's no prob though, I don't like mobo raid all that much anyway's. I was just gonna get me a new raid controller.
Hey! Has anybody tried converting cd-rom to sata and tried it on the mobo raid? I saw adapti something something for one of the driver options. I'm gonna try it and see what happens.
