Hi guys, I'm new to this cpu stuff and I need some help. I just bought a Logitech G5 mouse and a few hours into using it on my HP the cpu just powered off. Monitor was still on so it wasn't my houses power that went wrong. All connections were tight. The only modification I have is a GeForce 7600GT video card. So after a few mins of going crazy...I started to wiggle the power plug a bit and it makes that power noise. I finally got it to turn on. And it happens randomly. Does the power supply need to rest or something before it will turn back on?

I done some research and came up with a theory that my power supply is too low. I believed it's at 300w. If anyone has any light on this...please let me know. Thanks in advance for your comments/suggestions.

Sounds like it could be lack of power. The power supplies in those off-the-shelf PCs will run the original setup OK but if you've put a power-hungry graphics card in the system, it's not going to like it.
