the version of directx that comes with this build of the beta is 9.0b, and EQII requires 9.0c. however, that upgrade isn't downloadable from microsoft (32 bit only) and i can't find it as a seperate install on my newer build of the OS.

i'm not using that newer build (even if it does have 9.0c, which i haven't looked yet) because it rejects my soundmax 1980 drivers. my choices are: sound and older directx, or no sound, and possibly newer directx.

someone said on another forum that i might be able to install it on my win 32 partition, and create a shortcut on my 64 bit one, but i don't think that would bypass the directx problem.

anybody have any suggestions?
