hi guys could you enlighten me and tell me the difference between mega hertz and giga hertz aka 2200mhz and 3.2ghz whats the diff and how do you convert the mhz to the ghz???? just used those figures as a guide i dont know if 2200mhz is the same as 3.2 but hope you see what im trying to say
e.g what is 2400mhz in ghz terms
and why do intel sell as ghz and amd beat the mhz drum????

thz in advance from a confused noob The Ghz is 1000x Mhz (just like 1Gb=1000Mb) the "giga" means "one million=1000000). So, 2400Mhz=2,4Ghz. 2200Mhz is equal to 2,2Ghz not 3,2 Ghz. Why does intel sells Ghz and AMD Mhz? I don't know. Maybe it has to do with each company's merchandise/advertisement projects. But, it's all the same at the end.
