That all depends on what cooler you get!
If you get a cooler that just uses the hooks on the heatsink retention frame itself then what guru says is correct, but some coolers use the holes in the board, for example some of the heavier coolers use their own metal back plate, frame and screws.
s754 & s939 boards have two screw holes.
AM2/AM3 have four screw holes.
